We have had a busy week which began with a visit from our friends, Nikko and Jolie and their Dad.

Mom planned next year’s garden and

found a silly app.

I helped in the yard.

I got a massage.

This morning when we woke up, it had rained a little. The birds were very thankful. The hummingbirds engaged themselves in aerial combat on our porch where we maintain four feeders. They chatter at us constantly. Can you see it? XOXO ~ Indy and Lucy

It has been another week of blazing temps. The raccoons, cats and squirrels just ignore our slavos…too hot to taunt us.

The Olympics have provided us with much inside entertainment however.

Mom found another app with some interesting features including the ability to switch the fore and backgrounds.

With my help, Dad operated on several casualties of the toy wars.

We are glad to report all recovered.

Have a splendid weekend out there. Love ya. ~ Indy and Lucy

Our week has been a busy one. We had a short visit from our Sissy. She is changing jobs and moving to Denver. She will still be in ER but a Trauma 1 hospital.

Notice I am checking out the chips on the counter. BOL.

I love to look out the window. Mom lowers the recliner in an attempt to avoid accidents. 🙂

Dad made another whirlygig. The Scottie is stationary on this one. Mom is going to paint the Scottie.

The opening ceremony of the Olympics was impressive. We are ready to cheer the nations on.

We want to give a thank you to Abby Gardner and her folks for sending us these cool bandanas from Michigan.

Flowers are looking great even though the temps have been 109 F most of the week.

We still manage to get some outside play time in the early am.

Have a great weekend. ~ Indy and Lucy

Not much to report here in Oklahoma except hot, humid and mosquitoes. It is the dog days of summer for sure. We did receive Pamela Harden’s new book A Winter Wingding. Mom has read it to us every night.

We played out side most mornings: Brother looking for lizards and me -a game of fetch.

Shady spots are great for barking at the birds.

Dad has been busy in his workshop. Look what he is building. When the wind blows, the Scottie dog’s head nods and tail wags. Cute, huh?

Have a good weekend out there. Love ya ~ Indy and Lucy

Hot that’s what! Right now it is 10:30 am and it is already 101. Mom has to get up early and water. I, of course, assist.

Brother has been obsessed with something under our porch. Dad thinks it’s birds; Mom says it’s lizards. Who knows but all he does is run around trying to look through the spaces between the boards. BOL.

The summer stuff is blooming in the garden. Crepe myrtles can withstand the Oklahoma extreme summer temps.

Did you try our new app Color Pop or chase some bubbles this week?

Think we will just sit and swing then head on in for some AC. Have a splendid weekend. ~ Indy and Lucy

It has been a busy week. We had a couple of rounds of storms that soaked us with 3 1/4 inches of rain but rain is always welcome during an Oklahoma summer. The crepe myrtle loves the hot humid weather.

The black eyed Susans do too.

The Virginia Creeper has almost covered the arch. While a somewhat invasive plant if not contained, it turns beautiful colors in the fall.

Dad built stands for our rain barrels. They are all currently full from the latest storms.

We also have kitties next door in the nature preserve. We spotted them a day or two ago. The Mom likes to take them out for lessons in hunting, tree and fence climbing during the early morning hours.

I have been giving a Facebook seminar in fetching on our page: The Adventures of Indy and Lucy. It features the basic fetch positions: Place, Focus, Stance and Replace with tips on successful involvement with your staff.

Have a great weekend. Indy and Lucy

Was the 4th of July only Monday? These summer days are running together.

We have had fireworks all week…nature’s and otherwise. Did you notice Indy’s tiny little tail and big paws on his baby pic Wednesday? What a sweet boy. We loved Friday’s Foto Fun with the beach pictures too; anyone can use photo apps. We didn’t get a picture but Mom got stung by a bumble bee that crawled underneath her t-shirt. What a commotion that was! Finally it’s the weekend and weekends here are for baths…. Love ya, ~ Indy and Lucy #smellinglikearose

Our hearts have been heavy this week with the crossing of Mr. Silky over the Rainbow Bridge. He was definitely a legend in his time. We are missing him terribly.
While not a quality picture, you can see how much I resemble my dad when he was THE studmaster at Shady Nook. 🙂 Meanwhile, lots of garden stuff going on too.

Finally found the perfect spot for the garden stone Larry Lauber made us. Isn’t it fantastic? Lantanas are thriving in this hot weather; it is supposed to hit the 100s Fahrenheit this coming week.
For us, it is a holiday weekend: 4th of July, marking the birth of American Independence. Although we are no longer part of the British Empire, Mom loves everything about it. She is a true Anglophile…just take a look at her Pinterest boards. It is a lovely holiday though if you don’t count the firecrackers. BOL…~ Indy and Lucy #feelingthefourth

The summer heat might be restricting our outdoor fun but inside we are having a great time. Mom rotated the toys so it’s like Christmas again.

Plus she bought some new ones that make delightful noises: Shark, Mr. Bill, Flea, Woody Woodpecker….
We received a couple from our friend, Kim Siegfried too. We started off the week with a spa day and now sport new shorter dos for summer.

Mom decided where the picture that Penny and the Count’s folks brought us from Australia should go. Penny’s mom took a picture of us to Bali and had it painted on canvas there. It has been secured under the glass top of our coffee table instead of the wall. We love it there.

Finally, the garden is blooming with lilies, roses, coneflowers, lantana, and hummingbird mint and tomatoes. 🙂 Don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers. ~ Indy and Lucy
