Another favorite road trip is to Santa Fe, New Mexico. We actually stay in Tesuque, an area located north of Santa Fe in the soft red-brown foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Our adobe guest house sits on a hill and looks out at the mountain peaks which rise in the Pecos Wilderness within the Santa Fe National Forest. We watch birds, have fires in the kiva fireplace and sometimes our human sister drives from Colorado Springs to see us. One time when we visited, it snowed over a foot. Our pawrents like to eat at their favorite restaurants, shop, go to museums, spas and take us exploring. Mom, being overly protective of us, worries a lot about the coyotes she hears yipping but we are very careful. ~ Indy and Lucy

Lucy and Indy – What wonderful photographs! You’re human sister is quite pretty – Her hair is a different color, isn’t it? My baby sister (she just thinks she’s human) has white hair mixed in with black….Just wanted to share that. Okay, then. Over and out. Lulu Belle

Thank you. We think she is pretty too and although she doesn’t look a lot like us, she has many of the same traits: fearless, independent, strong willed, bold, confident and reliant. We love her.

You are so lucky to get to go on trips. Mom says that Sidney crying in the car is enough to make her think twice before even putting him in the car. The 5 minute trip to the vet is torture.
