No, we weren’t here this week; Mom was just daydreaming about it. Actually, this is Fish Creek Beach which is right across from the Blue Horse Café on main street in Fish Creek, WI. We rent the cottage behind the cafe in May when we go to the Scottie rally. We never see the beach quite so busy though because we aren’t there in summer. Still, Door County is an awesome place to visit any time of year.
This week with beautiful temperatures in Oklahoma we did a lot of this:
Sitting in the sun
Playing with our Valentine toys
A game of catch or in our case ‘keep away’….We also remembered presidential Scotties on President’s Day.
Sadly, we had to say good-bye to our friend Mac. Mac had been fighting hemangiosarcoma, a cancerous tumor of the blood vessels affecting the heart or the spleen. It was the spleen for Mac. He is whole now and last we heard was having a grand time at Angus Fala’s Boiled Egg and Ice Cream Parlor. We miss you, friend and send hugs to your mom, Leah McIntosh. ~ Indy and Lucy

I love seeing your Christmas card every morning as it is permanent sitting on a framed painting

I’m so glad to know my Mac has made it to the Parlor!! I had been hoping he would see Sweet Angus and so many others that are known to hang out there! He’s a pretty Nosey Boy so Sweet Angus may have to help him out to know his place! I have a feeling he may hear a few words he hasn’t heard here before, but will be very familiar to him at the same time! We love you, Sweet Indy and Sweet Lucy! And your Mama, too!! ❤️

Our hearts are sad to learn that Mac has crossed The Bridge. We hope the pain of your loss is soon replaced by your treasured memories and love for him. Sending prayers and hugs to you.

I’m not big on the “oma” diseases. Kyla went due to melanoma Dec 2014.

Mama sucked in her breath and said OH NO when she saw that precious Mac had transitioned. We are so fortunate that Angus Fala and so many other really great Scotties are ready to welcome that sweet boy. Before Angus Fala, there was never a watering hole serving those treats. So at least Mac is in eggscellent company.

New book recommendation-A Fall of Marigolds by Susan Meissner. I put a old on it before reading about it. It might not have been a genre that I would have ordered.

I have read A Fall of Marigolds and enjoyed it tremendously. Right now I am reading A Japanese Lover by Isabel Allende. It is wonderful. You must get it.

Dear Leah,
We are so sorry about your Baby’s illness. With all of our hearts we wish those things didn’t happen. We are praying that God’s strength be with you. We who are left behind suffer so, but it gladdens the heart to know that our beloved children like Mac, are free of earthly bonds and pain and are waiting for us at the Bridge, and are enjoying themselves with all of those who got there before them!
You are in our thoughts and prayers,
Riley-Puppy, Tessie-Girl and Mum

That sure is a picturesque spot right across from The Blue Horse Cafe and your cabin where you stay for the Door County Scottie Rally! A gorgeous area from the looks of your Mum’s pic of Fish Creek Beach! Sounds like a great place to go in May! We’d be looking forward to it, too! Indy and Lucy, you sure are a coupla lucky little Cutie-Pie Scotties, cuz your Mum takes such wonderful care of you!!!!
We love you Lots!
