Week in Review

It has been a busy one for sure.  Mom has been occupied with her projects.  I have helped with yard clean up.  We have had no snow; on the other hand, it has been almost 70 degrees. Everyone has read “Wheels in the Wood” at least twice.  I think Dad read it three times.  Although we changed our morning routine, some things were as usual:  fetch, treats, play, nap, bark….you know, ‘the Scottie life.’  Then it happened, Brother was struck with a foul-smelling case of flatulence.  It was so bad that Mom ran from the room, fired up the diffusers with purification and lemon and pulled her t-shirt over her nose.  It continued throughout the day and night.  After much discussion, the pawrents decided it had to be the new treats so into the trash they went.  Let’s  hope he is better today.  Y’all have a good weekend now. ~ Lucy

On Sunday, Jan. 31st, Ranger is hosting a Blog Hop at The Adventures of Ranger. (We Scotties have lots of adventures, don’t we?)  Anyway, everyone is invited to post some ART of themselves in honor of Stuart( The Scottie Chronicles).  Of course, you know how Mom loves Stuart and photo/art apps so you can be sure we’re going.  We hope Mom can figure that URL thing by then.  So head on over to Ranger’s blog, ranger-scottie.blogspot.com and post your masterwork come Sunday.  Ranger says all you do is click this badge on the right side of his blog and follow the instructions.  See you there. ~ Indy and Lucy

Terriers world-wide, gathered this year in the enchanted place of the Whippety Wood to enjoy a friendly canine competition, racing cars.  All the WW citizens, mice, foxes, bunnies, badgers, squirrels and moles, graciously aided the terriers in engineering the most aerodynamic, earth-friendly, push cars ever.  With the blessing of Bertie Badger, the first “Wheels in the Wood” race commenced.

The entries were both daring and darling.  Piper driving her Pine Cone Coupe was first down the hill.

What terrier can resist a car made of gingerbread?   This entry was an ingenious well-engineered feat by the design team and edible too!

Mom loved every car especially the wheelbarrow although each one had its unique cuteness.

Although Mom does not collect much due to our small space, she does have a few in addition to the Christmas ornaments.  She loves Boyd pie vents.

There aren’t many so that makes it even better.  For the last year they have been in the front room tv console; yesterday she decided to move them to the Scottie office.

Mom finished it yesterday.  It contains her Agatha Paris pins, some vintage wooden,  celluloid ones and a camp pin.  It is going to hang but right now she put it on the dresser for a picture.  How do you like it? ~ Indy and Lucy

A Place in the Sun

While we don’t have snow, it’s cold and damp, the kind of damp that seeps into your bones even though the sun in shining.  It’s more what Oklahoma is like during the winter.  Believe me, you want to find a place in the sun. Indy

Here is the perfect place. ~ Indy

Snow Days of Yore

Although our friends to the east have snow in their forecast, we have been missed.  We did not have much snow last year either so we were hoping this year’s weather pattern would bring us at least one significant snowfall.  That would be about 4-6 inches. Snow..no sleet and ice!  We sure enjoy it when we get it. ~ Indy and Lucy
