It has been a busy one for sure. Mom has been occupied with her projects. I have helped with yard clean up. We have had no snow; on the other hand, it has been almost 70 degrees. Everyone has read “Wheels in the Wood” at least twice. I think Dad read it three times. Although we changed our morning routine, some things were as usual: fetch, treats, play, nap, bark….you know, ‘the Scottie life.’ Then it happened, Brother was struck with a foul-smelling case of flatulence. It was so bad that Mom ran from the room, fired up the diffusers with purification and lemon and pulled her t-shirt over her nose. It continued throughout the day and night. After much discussion, the pawrents decided it had to be the new treats so into the trash they went. Let’s hope he is better today. Y’all have a good weekend now. ~ Lucy

Awful. Mom thought he rolled in something dead.

We are sorry for Indy too. Glad you found out what was causing his distress.

Poor. Indy–sometimes things happen that are beyond our control and should be kept as a family secret–and sister tells EVERYBODY–how is a guy supposed to maintain his dignity?

Goodness, Indy, you have our sympathy. Having occasional flatulence stinks, no pun intended, but to suffer with it all day and night, while causing suffering to everyone else at home, is really awful! 😷
However, we must confess that we did the visual while we read your post and couldn’t help but laugh while picturing your mom running around with her tee shirt pulled up over her nose while ‘firing up the diffusers’! Remember that a quick long spray of Lysol Disinfectant Spray works immediately and is good, too.
We hope you’re all better now and just wanted you to know you gave us the best laugh of the morning!

Poor Indy…Andy feels his pain. Mom buys some what she calls anti-stink pills for him to make his “affliction” not so bad. He can’t help it either. Have a great weekend!

The only time that I have ever experienced a Scottie flatulence time was many years ago when I gave Corky some of my salmon. It was a first and last time thing.

Mom and Dad could not believe it. It had to be the treats. I have not not done a single thing today. Mom’s still gun-shy though.

Awww Poor Indy. Just think about it, he had to live with it and you could all scatter in different directions. Must tell you one thing though, Scottie flatulence may seem bad. You gotta just get a wiff of Westie flatulence. Dear dog, they are ‘champ’ at it…..aside: sorry Penny McNess’ Monty, my Australian adopted son !!
