inYesterday we had to say goodbye to Guinness Connor, son of Bill and Lesley Connor. We met Guinness this past May up in Door County and welcomed the time we spent with him. We are glad to know the goodies at the Bridge are limitless because Guinness sure liked his treats. So long for now, buddy. ~ Indy and Lucy

inAnother angel Scottie, Heather Beather , sweet Wheatie girl of Scottie Mom, crossed the Rainbow Bridge this weekend.
She will be sorely missed for she left paw prints on all our hearts. Hugs, Scottie Mom for you and your family. A Scottie Nation mourns with you. ~ Indy, Lucy and their Mom

inMr. Silky was the top ‘man about the kennel’ at Shady Nook Scotties for many years. He had since retired and was living ‘the life’ with Pauline and Barbara Stucker in Kentucky. Silky was Championed-bred and had 48 Champions in his 5 generation pedigree. Most of all, he was my Dad.
Sadly, Silky lost that life yesterday to lymphoma. Godspeed, Dad. ~ Your boy, Indy

inThere are so many particulars of you which shape your memory for us: a happy optimistic personality, confident leader, gentle but fearless warrior, loyal, loving companion, and a nurturing teacher and sister. You have enriched us by promoting a life of peace and harmony with others. We are so lucky to have known you. Till we meet again. ~ Indy, Lucy and their Mom

My heart has been sad this week with the Rainbow Bridge crossing of my brother, Duffy.
He was my brother from another mother; so to speak, but we are both Silky’s boys from Shady Nook Scotties. Duff lived in Mississippi with his mom, Claudia Grace and Stella and Popstar.
We look just alike. You can tell it in our eyes that we share a common bond.
He was taken from us by this terrible disease in spite of everything medicine could do. He was not yet 5, just a wee lad. A Scottie Nation mourns.
