Mr. Silky was the top ‘man about the kennel’ at Shady Nook Scotties for many years. He had since retired and was living ‘the life’ with Pauline and Barbara Stucker in Kentucky. Silky was Championed-bred and had 48 Champions in his 5 generation pedigree. Most of all, he was my Dad.
Sadly, Silky lost that life yesterday to lymphoma. Godspeed, Dad. ~ Your boy, Indy
Mr. Silky: Feb. 2, 2006-June 28, 2016
I’m so sorry that your dad had to go to that bridge… this world needs scotties and every time when one has to go the heaven cries with us… the rain started while reading your post…

Another day with more sorrowful news, Indy. 💔 We have lost so many Scotties lately our tears barely have time to dry. You and your dad will be in our thoughts and prayers. Godspeed, Mr. Silky.

My heart is already at the Bridge, you know. But I am so, so sad for Dogtown and for all of Sweet Silky’s gorgeous Babies! Love you, Sweet Indy! 💔

Yesterday Toby, today, Mr Silky, who was such a sweetness. Our hearts go out to Dogtown, The Mayor and Barbara, who must be devestated. Mr Silky had an enormous fan club. We can hear hearts cracking and see tears flowing . Who will brush his teeth at The Bridge? We hope he doesn’t indulge in too much ice cream at Angus Fala’s fine watering hole. Angus probably thinks that brushing is for suckers.

Angus got his teeth brushed everyday so he had to like it. BOL. Yep, there are still lots of little Silkys.

Oh, Sweet Indy, we are so sorry to hear about your Daddy! He sure is Handsome! Now we know where you got your extremely good looks! We are all sad that he has left us, but just think how happy he must be with all his family who is already up there at the Bridge. He’ll have fun with all of his buddies and our fur babies who have gone there too! It is only the ones left behind who suffer terribly because we can’t see them anymore and we miss them so much! That is a terrible pain for us left behind! What a noble Scotsman your Daddy is!!
Take care of yourselves. We are thinking tender and prayerful thoughts of you, his pawrents, and of course, Silky!
Thank you for your beautiful tribute to Silky!
Love and Hugs,
Riley-Puppy and Tessie-Girl
