Here come da Boom-Booms, Lucy! Tessie is not scared, she just barks her brains out, (she has plenty of practice with the Disneyland Fireworks going off at 9:30pm every noght!) But Riley, on the other hand shakes and comes running to Mum so she can cuddle him! Riley does not like ANY loud noises! He acts like he’s a Tuffy, but he is a big Baby!
Lucy is a Doll–a very Patriotic Doll!
Love you Indy and Lucy!

You must live close to our friend Patty Brown. She talks about the Disneyland fireworks too.

Unfortunately, I do not think we live close to Patty, because from the sounds of her comments she lives much nearer to the coast, and we live about 25 miles north of the coast! I’d love to live closer to the beach because it is about 15 or 20 degrees, if not more at times, cooler, than where we live in inland Orange County, north of Patty. She lives in Southern Orange County.
We live about 18 miles North East of Disneyland which is in Anaheim, which is also in O/C. The fireworks at Disneyland are loud enough to hear in a lot of parts of O/C. They have so many fireworks during the period of 9:30 pm to 10:00 pm with a big finale every sing night! They also have an especially huge finale of fireworks during the time around July 4th, that you can’t help but hear them. We can also see them from our house because we live on a hillside. We see them better some nights than others depending on how clear the horizon is. Sometimes, there is a lot of smoke/smog/who knows what, (sometimes mixed in with moisture from the Marine Layer), in the air, and it is hard to see them clearly. Since all of our area is in The huge Los Angeles Basin which is surrounded by mountains, there is an inversion layer that acts as a lid that tends to keep everything in the big basin so it is really not very clear most of the time, except when it is windy or it rains. We haven’t had rain going on 5 years in Southern CA!
