Yesterday we were having a photo shoot in the rocking chairs on the front porch. The chairs have wire seats and usually have pillows on them but since it’s still early spring, Mom had not put them out.
After we were finished, Mom turned to go back in the house and she saw me jump from the rocker and all of a sudden I flipped over and was caught hanging by my toe nail and crying. Mom said 3 HBO words in a row. Dad rushed past her to save me. He inspected my foot and kissed it. There was no damage; I didn’t even limp but it sure was scary. Mom was traumatized. She held and petted me the rest of the day. Needless to say I was….

Dogscars 2017: Red Carpet Gala

Tonight ‘marks’ the 2017 red carpet event: the Dogscars. Although there are many categories:
everydog is looking forward to see who takes a stroll down the
red carpet to collect the Golden Hydrant.
Predictions are running wild. Leading the pack in the newcomer category is GEOrGE, the Golden Land Shark. Is he in it to win it with his action packed documentary: “Dawn Breaks Over LaSalle Bridge” featured here?
GEOrGE’S housemate, Ainsley McKenna, no stranger to the carpet herself, is starring in “Ainsley Meets Dr. Meow”: a blockbuster role exploring the feline intellect.
Two Lifetime Achievement awards in memoriam to be given tonight will recognize Ruffles de Scottie and Angus Fala for their vast contributions in the fields of medicine, exploration, and education. They are shown below prior to crossing the Bridge.
Another one to watch is the “Girl vs. Squirrel” series with Ficelle Coutard in the leading role. We would include the clip but Mom doesn’t know how to get it to FB to here. Take our word, it’s a fast paced suspense thriller…not to be missed. See ya at the concession stand. ~ Indy and Lucy
The Blue Whale

Last night we talked to The Blue Whale.
Located in Catoosa right outside of Tulsa, it is not far from where we live. Remember when we visited there this fall on our way back from Door County.
It was built by Hugh Davis on a pond on his property and soon became one of the best loved icons of Route 66.
We will visit again when the weather turns a bit warmer. ~ Indy and Lucy

Today there was an article in today’s Tulsa World about Grand PaPa and his accounts of battle in the Pacific theater during WW II.
It is too long to share here but can be read at http://www.tulsaworld.com.
In addition to Grand PaPa’s memories aboard the USS Colorado, the article mentions the new Navy submarine the USS Colorado. Grand Papa and Dad are leaving for Connecticut the end of this month to see it christened.

It is almost time for our annual St. Louis Scottish Terrier Auction. We mark this on our calendar every year; it’s a tradition. Already things are being listed but you can’t bid till November 4th. Let me tell you: Mom has been loving the treat jars. There will be tons of stuff; we will post some items later like we did last year.

My friend Munchkin invited me to try her favorite treat.
Let me tell you: “I love them.” I would not put it down.
I carried it everywhere.
It is a fab chew like rawhide but NOT. USA made.
I’d bury it but the ground is too hard.
I just have one problem.
I have to put it down to get a drink. Thanks, Munch. ~ Indy

Since we had about 16 hours of driving time to Houston and back, Mom entertained herself with her phone. The Prisma photo app is just too much fun. She said the applications Transverse Line and Tokyo within the app are her favorites although it can depend on the picture being used. Enjoy ~ Indy and Lucy
