The morning began with a toy Mom retrieved from the time out shelf.

Then our old fave, white bone…

I decided it was necessary for me to have both bones.

I gave Brother a warning.  BOL

Closing Ceremony

It was fun seeing Michael Seiner, Nikko and Jolie yesterday.  Mom always thinks we are small till she sees them again.

Nikko is smaller than I am, probably Sister’s size, but Jolie (Peanut) is super tiny.

We had some good times sitting on the porch, temps in the 80s with a light breeze, a perfect kind of day.  They brought us some presents.  Mom let me have it after they left.

Mom has ordered her seeds for next year.  The largest city of any size is 60 miles away so she ordered the seeds online with a company she has previously used.

There are 4 colors of morning glories and one moonflower.  Grandpa Ott came up this year from last year’s seeds.  It is gorgeous.

  She has planted the Heavenly Blue for several years.

She always spreads Moonflowers in with the morning glories. They bloom at night.  Real Life:

She is going to add two new ones this year: Crimson Rambler and Scarlet O’Hara.  See the picture at top.  All you need for glories is a trellis or a fence because they are climbers.  They also like a lot of sun. She does soak the seeds overnight before she plants them to help them on their way.  For now, they will go into the icebox and wait for spring.

Several of our toys have been in triage awaiting emergency treatment.

I love to chase bubbles.  Brother is not too interested right now because he has sighted a bird nest under our porch and it is driving him crazy.

The temperatures have been in the triple digits this week and the humidity almost as high.  We experienced a power outage yesterday which left 4800 homes without electricity for a couple of hours in our sweltering 101 degree heat.  Mom hooked up the sprinkler and I had a grand time.  Sister doesn’t care to get wet.  Everything was going good until I had to be dried off;  I don’t especially like the wrapped up in a towel drying off part. Keep being cool. ~ Indy
