Mom worked in the yard all week: transplanting, weeding, trimming…the usual garden chores. Spring shrubs and ground covers are blooming now. The Knockout roses are just that.
We received our new collars from Rustic Cuff: Rustic Ruff. Mom got her retablo too.
We got in a lot of play time. We loved that.
Watch Out!

A retablo, in Mexican folk art, is a devotional painting usually honoring a patron saint. Mom saw one of St. Francis and Scotties in an auction last week. Gathering information, she found it was not only sold in gallery by the artist but also through her favorite pet place in Santa Fe, Teca Tu. It was destined for our home.

After ordering, the artist, David Ross, contacted Mom and wanted to know about us, our personalities, likes and dislikes…that sort of thing.

He also does other prized animal art.

The retablo has since arrived and it is gorgeous.

Mom loved the message on the back too.

It is indeed a treasure.

It is approximately 8×10 which is the perfect size for the two of us.

The detail is amazing.

Mom thanks the Texas Scottie Rescue for bringing this to her attention. Mom says it captures two of her loves: Santa Fe and us. Mom, geeez..~ Indy and Lucy

Remember in February when we told you about Mom’s favorite jewelry store, Rustic Cuff. When the spring line showcased after Easter, a new item was launched: Rustic Ruff, it’s a cuff( collar) for dogs.

Ours are in red and silver. The tag has our names with a paw print(front)and the RC emblem on the back. There is a crown available; you know who wanted that on hers but Mom did not want to make her worse than she already is so she did not get it. There is also a paw print on the collar as well as the Rustic Cuff insignia. Rustic Cuff is engraved on the buckle and RC on the keeper.

Gorgeous, huh? Jill Donovan, Rustic Cuff owner, pays such attention to detail

BOL….we need a trim.

There is a paw print cuff you can special order for humans. Mom reminded us that Mother’s Day was coming up in May. She’s like that. Have a joyful Sunday out there. We love ya. ~ Indy and Lucy #feeling the glam #rusticcuff #rusticruff

We had a great Easter weekend: train rides, birthdays and toys.

BOL. Did ya check out the eyes in that one? Spring in Oklahoma brings storms and severe weather. We had some of that too. There’s no reason not to be stylish about it though.

Naturally a game of fetch was in order….no matter the weather. Well, except thunder, maybe.

Have a super weekend, you guys. ~ Indy and Lucy

The day started out ok. It was cloudy with occasional sprinkles.

We were equipped, just in case.

I showed Mom my new trick that Brother taught me. This smaller Jolly ball was perfect for my short legs.

Of course, we had to play a little fetch. Then……

the storms came. It wasn’t too bad but bad enough that we had to ride it out on Mom’s lap. The tornadic storms came yesterday evening but they were north of us. Tornadoes touched down close to where our cousins live ; no one was hurt. You don’t mess with tornadoes here in Oklahoma. Take cover does not mean standing on the porch looking at the sky. Just sayin. ~ Indy and Lucy

Remember When we were on the edge at Cave Point (Door County, WI) and Mom was frantic. ~ Indy and Lucy

We had a lovely weekend despite the fact that we didn’t get to ride the train. The Easter bunny brought us a chick and a duck: Peep and Quack

They make the appropriate name sounds.

Brother was quite fond of the chick while I picked the duck.

We had a good time playing with them inside because the weather was quite damp and chilly. Meanwhile, I managed to work in another modeling gig.

All in all, we had a most enjoyable Easter/birthday weekend. ~ Indy and Lucy
