Spring

The day started out ok.  It was cloudy with occasional sprinkles.

Lucy

We were equipped, just in case.

Lucy

I showed Mom my new trick that Brother taught me.  This smaller Jolly ball was perfect for my short legs.

Lucy

Of course, we had to play a little fetch.   Then……

the storms came.  It wasn’t too bad but bad enough that we had to ride it out on Mom’s lap.  The tornadic storms came yesterday evening but they were north of us.  Tornadoes touched down close to where our cousins live ; no one was hurt.  You don’t mess with tornadoes here in Oklahoma.  Take cover does not mean standing on the porch looking at the sky.  Just sayin. ~ Indy and Lucy

Spring

Last week’s rain encouraged the flowering of more ornamental trees like the redbud which happens to be one of Oklahoma’s state symbols, chosen as the state tree in 1937.  It grows well in Oklahoma gardens and parks.  This one is across the street from our house.Redbud

The warm temps allowed us to play some fetch and run around our yard a lot.

Lucy

Light winds caused to petals of the Bradford pear tree to fall like snow.

Lucy

You may think I’m just another pretty face but I’m not.

Lucy

I am a working girl.  Here I am helping Dad rake leaves.  Actually Dad said: “You’re not helping, Lucy.”

Spring

imageWe have a four leaf clover patch in our yard.  No, it’s not bunny bait although we know they hop around in our yard at night because we can smell them.  We have that terrier nose.

imageThe Knockout roses are blooming.

imageThe grass is green and it’s time to play….fetch.  The pine tree provides me with plenty of sticks and serves as a nursery for morning doves.  They make this hooting sound all the time.  They better watch out for that hawk is all I’ll say. ~ Lucy
