The 4th of July is almost here. Mom got us some new patriotic collars. For so many of you that have asked, Mom purchases our collars from a shop called The Monogrammed Mutt on Etsy. Many times they have answered the question: “Which one are you?”
Mom made me a red, white, and blue fetch toy too. It is the perfect size for throwing in the house.
She finally found a Scottie that will wear a bandana and she is absolutely thrilled. Whew, takes the pressure off me. ~ Lucy
How lucky you are to have such a wonderful mom…😊😊😊

Lucy, you and Brother have go to collars and fetch toys for every occasion! The 4 th of July. Is a weird day for us. Mama was married to PawPaw twice…they always got married on the 4 th of July, so she isn’t all in, if you catch my drift. However, we watch fireworks on PBS, and of course, fly the flag, and revere the history and significance of that day, especially in view of world events. Growing up in Philadelphia, historical elements surround you. Mama loved reading John Adams, by David Halberstram…it really brought everything together for her. Hope you and your family, including of course GrandPaPa, have a celebratory day!

We don’t care much for the firework sounds but everything else is cool. Mom says we are going to be taking it easy this year.

Fergus writing today. Where we live we can see and HEAR fireworks from 5 different communities without leaving the back porch. I can’t get far enough under anything and that night is awful for me. Guinness on the other paw seems OK with any noise. Mom says she will put my coat on me as I become a stature when I wear anything. Mom oohed and aahed at your door Scottie Lucy and Indy. I can hear wheels turning in her head as I can hear very well.

Lucy, Lucy…….you are so beautiful – that wonderful face. You are truly ready for Independence Day. Guess what?! My uncle was born on that day – yessir – born on the 4th of July and Saturday next he will celebrate his 100th birthday. Sharp as tack, too, I’ll tell ya. Love, Ms. Judy

I make bandanas for the holidays and they don’t enjoy wearing them. A wooden Scottie would be the perfect vehicle for the bandanas.
