We got to Diane and DD’s and the pups immediately started exploring. The rest of us began sampling the wares Diane had prepared: champagne cocktails, hot artichoke spread, assorted Irish and British cheeses/crackers and this wonderful Texas Peach Jalapeno Jam over cream cheese which was absolutely delish.
Diane and DD are the consummate hosts.
Diane created a tablescape that was exquisite.
Fresh hydrangeas flanked by beribboned Scotties graced the center of the table. Scottie placecards marked the seating arrangements. A lovely dinner of lasagna, salad, hot bread and wine was followed by a light sorbet accompanied by Scottish shortbreads, coffee and liqueurs.
After dinner, there was a barkday celebration for Duff with as much detail given to it.
DD’s SuperBowl rings were very cool.
Diane gave us lovely gift bags filled with Texas gourmet specialties and Scottie accessories. Only Mark and Wendy’s early flight reluctantly ended the evening. I cannot tell you how much fun was had by all. ~ Indy and Lucy’s Mom
All I can say is that I told Duff not to go after the ball. ~ Indy
We can only agree wholeheartedly 😊😊😊

What lovely friends, who certainly know how to entertain! And, such a lovely note for Mark and Wendy to end this visit to States on. Kind of like the Texas branch of the Aunt Judy and Uncle Bob Inn, Texas style. Indy, Mama sez that it’s best to let the birthday boy have his way during his special day…..

…..and where was Lucy during all the festivities? Did she have her turn with the ball, Indy? I’ll swear the 4 of you should run an on-the-side travel agency for Scottie owners. Lulu is all agog over your travels….and, alas…..the food in particular. Ms. Judy

Let’s just say that Lucy dominated the ball.

Gosh I love that door Scottie, (wreath?), or decoration, I wonder if it is available anywhere? Would you be able to say, please? I just subscribed to your blog, but have pinned so many Indy and Lucy pins on Pinterest. I am so glad I finally found your blog!
You are lucky to have such nice Texas friends!
Thank you.

The Scottie on the door is no longer available from Legends Sports Gallery, HHI (Facebook listing) for info. The owner,Lori, has another one not of metal but barnwood looking. So cute. it is on our door right now. Do you follow our FB pare The Adventures of Indy and Lucy?

Thank you so much for your reply! Yes I do follow your page on FB, and I love it! I love your babies! They are so adorable and so many great pictures! I’m sorry to hear that the Legends Sports Gallery Scottie is no longer available. What is HHI Face Book listing? Do I type just that on FB to find that page? Are Legends Sports Gallery products available only in their stores? I live in California. What would I call the Scottie Figure that is on her door? A metal sign or wreath? I wonder how long ago it was for sale at Legends? I looked on your FB page and did not see the barnwood Scottie you mentioned is now on your door. I’d love to see it. I looked on your timeline and your photos. Thank you so much for being so nice and for giving me the info. I am crazy mad for Scotties! My Riley adopted me at a Scottie rescue 1 1/2 years ago, and I swear he is my soulmate! Love to you and your Angel Scotties!

Sent you a friend request request and message with the picture. Type in Legends as listed above in the FB search. It was just on the site today. I think there is 3 left but she can probably reorder.

Ok, I found the pic of the barnwood Scottie on the Legends FB page. I wasn’t thinking that HHI meant Hilton Head Island. I don’t live in the South anymore. I was born and raised in Texas! It is adorable! Thank you so much.
I left the Legends store a message on their FB page about the metal Scottie sign(?) –is it a sign–is that what you would call it? Anyway, I wonder who the manufacturer is or if there is a name or tag on the back of it. If Legends can’t order one for me, maybe one will turn up on resale on EBay, (I am hoping!) I would like to figure out how to look for it on the internet. I just love the metal one your friend in Texas has. Gosh, I wonder how long ago it was available? You are a dear to be so accommodating. Please kiss Indy and Lucy for me!

No, I didn’t. I am listed in my High School Group from Texas, so I do not think I am public. I really do not use FB a lot except to follow Scotties and my Family and high school and college classmates. However, I did find all of the info on the FB page for Legends in HHI. What is the lady’s name and phone no. and I will phone her. Or just give me her name and I’ll get the ph. no. from the Legends FB. page. Thank you! XOXO

Really, someone else? I’ll have to look her up, maybe she is a Scottie fanatic too! Thanks you for the Lady’s name! Let me know if you find one of those Metal Scotties. Would you call it a sign?
