Mom says that Miss Sindee at Shady Nook described me as loving to cuddle first and then I was ready to explore. Guess those early days set the tone for me as an ‘adorable adventurer’. My first noteworthy exploit was to fly from Indiana to Oklahoma; I was known as the Delta Darling. I was all of 6 1/2 pounds and ready to take on the world. ~ Indy

Did you fly in the cabin or in the cargo hold?

I had requested a ticket in first class but there was only room in cargo. Had a stop over in Georgia (your folks’ home state) at an airport that had two fully fenced dog parks complete with benches, poop bags and dog sculpture for artsy-fartsy dogs. They do it up right down there in Atlanta.

Drew was the only Scottie that flew. She came from West Virginia on her own. I picked her up at the airport and got the only kiss that she ever gave that day. She lived her for 14 more years and was a wonderful animal, but never a kisser. Sophie and Shelby have made up for that.

Both of us flew from Indiana. I think regulations have changed since. I like to cuddle but that kissing is out…Sister though goes for the face…every
time, everybody.

Drew arrived here is 1997. she flew cargo and it was the last day(June 1) that they would allow a pet to fly because of the heat in the south.

Everyone is lovable in their own way, aren’t they, Lucy? Konstant kissers are grand for sure – but not a deal breaker, right?
