It takes a long time to get to Door County but well worth it: the sights, the smells. Here I am checking out Lake Michigan.
We get to have two Springs, one in Oklahoma and one in Wisconsin.
Another thing we like is walks. Since we have a yard at home, we don’t go on walks–that and people don’t follow the leash laws and let their big dogs run unattended. ~ Indy and Lucy

Clive, Iowa is the halfway mark between home and Door County on this particular route. We stay at the LaQuinta because it is pet friendly and right off the highway. We saw a little Pom, a poodle, a black kitty, and a couple of Labradoodles. Mom said they needed to use their inside voices. We also got to practice our elevator manners. Here we are waiting for people to exit before we get on.
We also finally got to meet one of our good Facebook friends, Susan Nass and her personal photographer (her husband). ~ Indy and Lucy

Mom bought this little diffuser to enjoy some aromathapy during our travels. We had Peace and Calming for day one.
The diffuser was only $10.00 at Whole Foods and it can be battery operated.
This is not 60 minutes into our travels. We are super relaxed. Mom says on day two we can have White Angelica and Ylang Ylang. Just watching the scenery go by ~ Indy and Lucy

The kilt….an ancient and noble garment and this is the one I will be wearing in the Annual Parade of Scotties, Bailey’s Harbor, WI when I attend the Door County Scottie Rally. Colleen Lambrecht made a red one for me and a blue one for brother. I would love to show you his picture but he tried to run behind the table when Dad got it out. Mom said he looked so pitiful that she was not publishing it anywhere. Here I am. 🙂
I like this Red Stewart tartan a lot too. We take an extra set just in case. You never know.
This Thundershirt is the best idea Mom has had yet. I am using it as dog spanx and does it not take 5 pounds off? It is going to be my “go to”. Don’t let it rain on your parade. Love ya ~ Lucy

There is a lot to get ready for this trip. We have to take our x pens, chairs for our folks, a cart to pull it in, not to mention all this stuff. We have all sorts of calming solutions like chews, sprays, and essential oils for car rides or unusual situations. For our entertainment, Mom has some yummy chew sticks and a few new toys. Our polka dot life jackets for our ferry ride. Did you notice our new collars with cherries on them? Door County has more than 2500 acres of cherry orchards. I hope we can see some blooms this year. Regardless, we will wear our collars in celebration of it. Gotta bring our raincoats in case of you know what. We take two sets of kilts. Mom can’t find one of the Red Stewart collars. Have we mentioned food and treats? Wonder where they are putting their stuff? ~ Indy and Lucy

Springtime in Oklahoma is beautiful. There are redbud and dogwood trees, lilac and forsythia bushes, tulips and daffodils to name a few. However, it is also tornado season and it has been a particularly active year. We have received inches of rain daily for the last week. Thunder and lightening went on for hours the other night. Last night the sirens went off…just a warning though that circulation was close. Keep safe where you are. ~ Indy
