A most unusual tree….

Every trip to Santa Fe always gained a few ornaments for the tree.  It took a lot of trips but finally enough were secured to have a tree consisting only of them.  The fun was looking for them though, Mom says.  Here are a some that are new this year.

Hummingbird…brushskin.  This one actually hails from the Philippines where it is fashioned from palm fiber by workers there.  Hummingbirds are abundant in Santa Fe during the summer.

Of course, there is one to commemorate the great balloon fiasco. 🙂

Love this one from Corrado and Darla Castro.  You are looking at our card for next year….the ornament is perfect.

This is a particularly a precious one from Houston friends, Leah and that sweetie Wheatie, Mac.

There’s the boys, Sammy and Teddy and McTavish too and  love the classic from Patty Brown.  They are already on the fridge in temporary placement.  Mom secures them with magnets first, arranging them by sizes until she has enough cards for a fit.  A card might be in several places before final placement.  It all depends on the cards sent.  Can’t wait for Monday’s mail. ~ Indy and Lucy

However, our hearts are saddened by news from our friend, Leah McIntosh, that our pal Mac has hemangiosarcoma.  Then we learn today that Stuart from The Scottie Chronicles has been hospitalized with complications from the same disease.  Indeed, it is sorry news to report. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers. ~ Indy and Lucy
