Installment Eight
We were lucky the cherry trees were in bloom this year. This is the third year we have seen them. One year it was a cold spring and they were not blooming yet. It is a glorious sight.
Lautenbach’s orchard and winery are favorites and the honeycrisp apple wine is delish.
This is Mom’s favorite spot to photograph the cherry trees. It’s over by Applewood Cottage on the EE.
The woodlands are carpeted with this lovely perennial, the trillium. as well as these forget me nots.
We take a picture in front of these tulips every year.
Sometimes we cooperate; sometimes we don’t. BOL! Did you notice we have cherries on our collars? 🙂
Door County in May is a second spring for us. We love it there. ~ Indy and Lucy
the cottage is such a wonderful place… the mama sighed and got leaky eyes… she thinks that’s the perfect place for a woman-cave :o)

The small red building is actually the well house. There is an old farmhouse and Applewood Cottage close by. We stayed there our first year we visited. It’s all part of an apple orchard.

It would be a perfect woman cave though.

Love forget-me-nots. I planted them on my dear little Meggie’s grave, and thought they had all died out, when lo and behold! This year one of them bloomed! She was the very first Scottie that ever owned me.

What a perfect flower to remember a beloved Scottie.

The cherries on both collars couldn’t be more appropriate! No matter how beautiful the pictures and descriptions of your travels are, which we so enjoy, it is you, Indy & Lucy, that is the cherry on top! 🍒🍒

So, do you get to taste the honeycrisp apple wine, or do mom and dad tell you it’s delish?

This is one part of the country that I have not seen. It is really beautiful. It helps to gave a good photographer and two beautiful subjects to include in the landscape.

Not only ‘liked’ once……double liked. Magnificent photos. I think the cherry trees in blossom are stunning. Lucky to have seen it once here in S.A. Indy and Lucy you are just the most photogenic couple I have ever seen. How apt to have cherries on your collars. Did you perhaps ‘tiptoe through the tulips’?
