We live on a hill so our yard is elevated from the house next to it. That house has been empty for about 10 years. We call its back yard the nature preserve and over the years it has provided us with much entertainment. Yesterday was no exception. Mom’s treadmill area overlooks our back yard and a portion of the nature preserve. While exercising, she looked over and thought she saw a big orange cat laying in the sun. Then, upon closer inspection(binoculars), it was a fox. He stayed most of the morning before moving to more concealed area. It was pretty cool.
We didn’t get a picture of the fox but we did of me picking up pine cones downed by the storm. Bunny Alert. ~ Lucy
Your so Lucky .. whats dem pine cones taste like ?

Never mind what the fox says, remember “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” and we hope that is never the case at your house! Is there a fence between your yard and the preserve? Please be very careful Indy and Lucy! 🐺

I, Duffy, too like pine cones. I try and eat them before mom sees me and takes them away. We had a den of foxes down by the highway last spring. They sure are cute! Have fun watching but don’t get too close.

I hope that it wouldn’t try to nab us. Sister is pretty plump.

Lucy, you look so adorable in your Easter tutu, be careful because there’s a good chance that fox likes girls in tutus🐰💝🐰. Take brother with you for protection🐣

Don’t listen to the Lucy. You are gorgeous just the way you are. Keep away from that perimeter near the fox/es

When mom first moved into our neighbor there aren’t many homes. One of the first night here, she saw a fox on the road. It was scary for a girl from Brooklyn NY. The funniest was the walking catfish that came out after a really big rain.
