Eight Photos of Happiness

Thanks to our friend in Florida, Susan Weinstein @ corkscot for nominating us.  We accept the challenge of posting eight pictures of happiness.  All of our pictures are of us doing the things we really enjoy.  Hope it makes you happy. 🙂

We invite Skyler Braveheart, fergusnguiness, and Ainsley McKenna@ Angus Fala worldwide Enterprises to accept this challenge. ~ Indy and Lucy

Throwback Back Thursday

Tags

Since I am only 3 1/2, I can’t throw back too far.  The first one is from 2013 in Decorah, Iowa.  We were coming back from the Door County Scottie Rally and Mom wanted to see the Decorah eagles so we stayed there a couple of days.  It’s a neat area with a hiking/biking trail that encircles the whole town.  It was also cool driving the back roads of Wisconsin and Iowa to get there.

I am trying to see what’s going on in the parking lot.  This is the first time I showed the pawrents this trick.  Needless to say, they were amazed.

I am trying to catch some outside action at home.

I was always ready to alert Sister to a UPS delivery till Mom had them take it to the back. 😦

Good Help Is Hard To Find

image

Here we are doing OUR job making sure that all intruders are identified ASAP and Mom is just now getting around to writing something on our blog.  In her defense, she does have many appointments this week and is  trying to get the basement cleaned. Of course, there is always the daily watering that has to be done shortly after dawn. Being a Scottie Mom ain’t easy or so she says.  Well, she didn’t say ain’t but you know what we mean.  Temps are going to be in the 100s and very humid this week.  Stay cool where you are. ~ Indy and Lucy.

Mobile Monet

Mobile Monet is another art app that Mom likes.  The pixels are replaced with brushstrokes.  You can either pick preset or do it yourself with controls for paint, brush size, etc.  These are some of Mom’s favorites.  They were all preset. ~ Indy and Lucy

Dog Smart

Mom says that Dog Smart is a great educational toy for ‘quality time’.

Mom hides treats under these blocks and lets me search for them by lifting them up with my mouth.  It reinforces words like wait, sit, search although I am usually good at those.  Best of all, I get one on one time with Mom or Dad.

Nina Ottosson dog puzzles can be purchased online from Amazon in many styles and difficulty levels.  It is good for dogs of all ages even young pups just learning commands.

Mom likes this plastic one where the bone slides revealing the treat.  Maybe she will get me another. ~ Indy

Window Watching

Window watching is a Scottie pastime.  It is our reality tv.  Mom was working on the computer today so we decided to join her at her window.image

First of all, two big German shepherds cruised by the house very early this morning.  Guess they were out getting their business done in someone else’s yard other than their own.  Naturally, animal control wasn’t on the clock yet.  The lawn care people arrived next and gave us another opportunity for a bark fest.  By then, it was time for our mid morning snack of yogurt and blueberries.  We spent the afternoon looking for bunny and the mailman.  I bet you all spend a lot of time at your windows too.  Mom said it’s the best Scottie babysitter she knows.

Near Bunny Incident (NBI)

Yesterday evening we were given the all clear to go out.  We were in the yard doing our own business when out of nowhere Bunny appeared.  He decided he needed to reach his garden apartment so he zipped though the fence and across the yard heading for the lattice.  We were in close pursuit–close but no cigar.

Here I am trying to pick up the scent once more.

It would be easier if the bunny guardians would not put obstacles in my way. Happy hunting where you are. ~ Indy

Loose Ends

Mom has finished the porch swing.

On the other hand, nothing has deterred the cats from crapping in our flower beds.  We have put orange oil, red pepper flakes, netting, ultrasonic devices, BB gun, and bamboo sticks.  We did try trapping and caught three raccoons.  What’s a Scottie to do? ~ Indy and Lucy
