The barn hunt is one of the most anticipated events by Scotties at the Door County Scottie Rally. Ainsley McKenna proved to be a natural at her first attempt.
The nervy rat taunted the Scots and
the hunt was on as Brother faced off the rat in the arena.
Our friend Dougall and his staff were also anxious to give it a try.

Sid’s breeder had a course on her property. I think that he was too young to give it a try before he moved to Florida.

The jacket my friend Karen is wearing was made from a throw blanket. She won in one of the Auctions that benefit Scottie welfare. Everyone loves it, however she is very tall and slender, so it looks fab on her. You could probably wear it well too! Proud of my nephew Dougall for his first time at the hunt!

Looks terrior-bly exciting, but our mum is an animal lubber and doesn’t want any animals hurt. She had a fit de uder day when I brought in a present for her to show her what I was doin’ outside. She felt sorry for da lizzie, as she call dem, after I’d played with it and brought it in to shows her!
I knows my brudder Riley and me would have a fun and exciting time at a barn hunt, but mum wouldn’t like it cuz she is too sensitive, whatever dat is. Tessie is too snooty to participate–she forgot she is a Westie/Cairn.
