Of course, there was Halloween.
Upon returning home from Wisconsin, we started itching and scratching. It made us miserable and the pawrents too. The vet thought seasonal allergies: oak mites, Bermuda grass, they don’t know.
Dad sprayed us with Listerene. He uses that on his horses for bites/infection and we have been taking 1/2 of Benedryl. We are still itching but not as bad.
Mom gave us chicken chews to get our mind off it. I like to hide mine. ~ Indy

I hope those awful itches go away soon! I know it makes you miserable and your Mom and Dad feel awful for you, too! I wouldn’t have ever thought of the Listerine. It should certainly get rid of all those germs! ❤️

Didn’t wander out of the apartment yesterday, but plan to later this afternoon. I have to wear my bone growth stimulator thingie for two hours first. 😍😂😍

You have our sympathy! I am allergic to environmental things and take shots and meds for it. It helps a lot but I still get the itchies at times.

Piper does well with Hydroxyzine (need prescription)–for her works better than Benadryl

We hope that your itchies get better soon. There is an interesting book joey Greens’ Pet Remedies that has kinds of interesting cures for a bunch of ailments. Our library has it and I have used it as a reference many times.

We use Listerine on our ponies too! (and tea tree shampoo) My Westie had terrible alergies, we used oatmeal shampoo for her. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for the Listerine tip!! Sister Tessie has very sensitive skin and is constantly scratching! We found out she is allergic to chicken and turkey so she doesn’t itch as much now that she doesn’t get those 2 things. Benadryl never helped her. We hope your itches are all gone now, Indy and Lucy!
