Mom and Dad cannot pass up a Farmers Market no matter where they are. Today was no different in Jacksonport, Wisconsin as they pulled to the curb the minute it was spotted.
The pumpkins
The vegetables
Dairy
Meat…would you look at the cost of rabbit?
The entertainers
We stopped at one of our favorite spots in Bailey’s Harbor too. As you can see it was pretty windy out on the jetty. The leaves are starting to turn and there are spots of brilliance; we are saving that for later. For now, Keep It Simple ~ Indy and Lucy
Oh that fabulous pumpkins…. I can’t wait till our stores have them too :o)

All that activity and I don’t see a door. Are doors illegal in Door County?

Love farmer’s markets in the heartland. They are not that good where I live becos no one has enough land to farm. What do Cortland apples taste like. Haven’t ever seen them. I love Honeycrisp. I paid $5.49 for 4 organic ones at Whole Foods yesterday❗️

To me the Cortland is like a Granny Smith. They do bake a lot of pies with them here. Mom hasn’t spiced any yet cause it’s not close to when we leave.

Rabbits are expensive because they are so damn hard to catch and not to mention off limits. BOL

I’m with Kismet on this one. Where’s the Door?

Door County is named after the dangerous strait linking Lake Michigan and Green Bay, Porte Des Mortes, which translated from French is the ‘Door of the Dead’
