Springtime, indeed! Our Bradford Pear tree is in full bloom. The pine tree is serving as a rookery to birds that stay in Oklahoma year round. Already it has a nest of blue jays, one of robins, and another of mourning doves. There’s also a bird house full of sparrows which hangs from one of the lower branches.
Next week we will be switching to Daylight Savings time. Mom likes it in the mornings especially because it will be light when we go out. She keeps a flashlight by the door because we are so hard to see in the dark.
Have a fab weekend and remember…….
Your pals ~ Indy and Lucy
it’s great to enjoy spring on your blog… we just got a hailstorm so we rather stay inside and enjoy your pear tree :o)

I guess spring will be a little late this year in these parts as we woke up today to a light, but steady, snowfall. Everything is covered, and the flag of Ireland I have flying really looks out of place today!

In the 70’s next week here. We really don’t get a true Spring anymore. But we will take the warmer weather.

We haven’t had any really cold weather yet. It has been in the 80’s the last few days. My avocado tree is blossoming, but all of the mango trees are without blossoms. Nature is very confusing.

Mom would love those trees.

I just stuck the pits in the ground and they grew. I only paid for the initial mango tree. The rest came from the fruit on the trees.

Love the blooming pear tree & all the birds nesting in your pine tree. I have a pair of mourning doves that hang around but don’t know where they nest. They are so sweet. I have Freesia in bloom, as well thousands of little Violas.

Golly, Indy and Lucy,
You two are so cute in your St Paddy’s outfits! Just too ADORABLE! How do your Peeps stand it? I would not stop fawning over you all day long!
Your pear tree is gorgeous! Do you get a lot of fruit?
We feed the birds in our back yard and we have to keep adding seeds to the feeders all day long. They are ravenous!
It’s always hot here–all year round.
Thanks for the bee-u-tiful pictures!

Yes. We hear sirens constantly. Rain is arriving tomorrow (Tues.) for 4 days so that will be the end of it except if we have a hot dry summer.
