Our Christmas cards this year are…

not without incident. First, the cute little magnets Mom got to put in them were too strong and causing the envelopes to stick together. Obviously, they could not go in the mail. Then the lovely, shiny, gold envelopes made the ink practically unreadable. Mom said to Dad: “What the Woof (WTW)? Is this invisible ink? I must have medium point pens or something.” A trip to the only store in town, Walmart, yielded a couple of gel points but Mom thought they were still too light for out of the country destinations. So………

The cards purchased for local friends and relatives were used for distant lands. They had white envelopes. The good news is that everyone gets a calendar. Mom didn’t run short on them. ~ Indy and Lucy

The last few days….

the postman has been bringing us some exciting packages.

We received a box of toys and treats from Belgium.. Mom got a keychain and some Scottie stickers. This is the lovely card.

This is me with one of the toys. BOL. Thank you Patricia Bonnel and Sir Achille.

These towels have our name and Scottie reindeer on them. They are from Doodlebug Creations. Kath did a fabulous job. What a great gift. Thanks Leah and Mac. Did we mention there were treats? 🙂

Look at this darling little fellow from Claudia Grace, Stella Starlight, and Popstar. Thank you very much. We miss that sweet Duffy boy.

A most unusual tree….

Every trip to Santa Fe always gained a few ornaments for the tree. It took a lot of trips but finally enough were secured to have a tree consisting only of them. The fun was looking for them though, Mom says. Here are a some that are new this year.

Reindeer. Artisan painted.

Gourd painting…exquisite

Hummingbird…brushskin. This one actually hails from the Philippines where it is fashioned from palm fiber by workers there. Hummingbirds are abundant in Santa Fe during the summer.

Of course, there is one to commemorate the great balloon fiasco. 🙂

It is a tree of art.

It’s Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas…..

The cards are rolling in for the Scottie fridge and it’s so much fun.

Isn’t this hand made creation from Diane, DD Lewis and Duff exquisite?

This handmade one came with a Scottie coaster. Great idea, Lori Glenn…thanks to you and Duncan. That’s us looking out the window.

Another frame worthy card made by Gaby Jans but from Patricia Bonnel and Sir Achille is gorgeous.

Love this one from Corrado and Darla Castro. You are looking at our card for next year….the ornament is perfect.

Mary and Larry Lauber sent us this great card with a picture of Gordon and Gillis.

This is a particularly a precious one from Houston friends, Leah and that sweetie Wheatie, Mac.

There’s the boys, Sammy and Teddy and McTavish too and love the classic from Patty Brown. They are already on the fridge in temporary placement. Mom secures them with magnets first, arranging them by sizes until she has enough cards for a fit. A card might be in several places before final placement. It all depends on the cards sent. Can’t wait for Monday’s mail. ~ Indy and Lucy
