We are sorry Mom has been a slacker and has not been current on our blog. After we arrived home safely from our New Mexico adventure, there was tons of stuff to do. Fall yard chores were first: trees trimmed, grass planted, garden beds cleared and another panel of fence went up. We, of course, assisted in all of this.
Dad went to Tulsa to see about Grand PaPa then they made a day dash to the War Eagle Crafts Fair in Arkansas. It has been busy. Dad relocated our Welcome sign that we received for Christmas last year from our friend Wendy Bowthorpe. It looks good on our garden gate.
He also installed the address Scottie that Mom had refurbished with a new powder coat and house numbers.
The trees are just starting to change here. Rain predicted for weekend. Mom says we need it. All we can say is “GoodBy Summer, Hello Fall. It’s about time.” ~ Indy and Lucy
We were gifted by Wends too. Mama marvels at her skills. It seems like everyone is having their trees trimmed. Lots of sawing sounds in our ‘hood. Bet your house and grounds are neat as a pin, & hope all is well with GrandPaPa. Good work team!

Mama says “oughtum” get out there and mulch. (She thought that oughtum thing was so clever.) Honestly, brother, baby sister and I are too often embarrassed for her. We ADORE your adornments! Bet you could charge to give yard/garden tours. Outta here…..Lulu Belle, Ellie Jo, Andy

There’s something in that crisp fall air that makes us want to clean up, spruce up and fix up our homes, inside and out! Love the Scottie house numbers and welcome sign. It tells passersby that Scotties are loved and they live here!

Yes, if only it were cool here mum would get her butt in gear. As it is, she doesn’t have any Autumn spirit cuz it isn’t Autumn here, the calendar must be wrong!

We are glad to have all four seasons. Just as you get sick of one another comes along.

That’s true! You can imagine how sick and tired we are of Arizona-style summer temps all year round! We had lunch with some friends who live in Huntington Beach, close to the ocean and they don’t ordinarily need AC except maybe 3 to 4 days out of the year so most houses don’t come with AC, like in San Francisco where my daughter and her husband live, but now the temps along the coast are much warmer and everyone who doesn’t have AC is planning to put it in. My daughter says no one in SF, except commercial buildings whose windows don’t open, have AC, so everyone is now dying of the heat! Also we are getting venomous sea snakes on our beaches, which are usually in much warmer waters, coming up on shore because it is so warm now. We have run into a lot of rattlesnakes around here inland because it is so hot, and they are looking for water.
You are lucky!

We wish that we can say goodbye to summer. The temperature is still in the high 80’s. We have been slackling too.

I don’t understand why and mom is NOT computer smart so she’s no help ALL. Sometimes if mom can comment on some blogs she will either change to her computer or phone and that usually works.

I wish that They would replace the “Welcome” signs with “Go Get Lost” ones.
