Saturday morning we received an unexpected surprise, a weather event. We should have sensed something earlier when it was so warm and humid on our first perimeter check. Not long after, the skies darkened; the rain, wind, thunder and lightning began.
The thunder and lightning were the worse. Brother was beneath Mom’s chair and I took up residence under the desk. I like close corners when it storms.
We are glad it didn’t last long. What’s your take on stormy weather? ~ Indy and Lucy
Well weez don’t take any notice of it at all… The Count doesn’t like flying in it though, and I dont gho out in the rain but that’s it

We just have a mild case of it and the thunder and lightning were particularly fierce yesterday. Poor Count, he needs to ground himself on those nights.

I am with u Lucy about finding shelter–first hint of thunder or fireworks and I am behind the sofa and under the sofa table that is in back; sister, Piper doesn’t get bothered at all; the other night we had tornado sirens going off, and mom couldn’t get me out to go to the basement; my mom says I am a very sensitive dog!!! Hope your weather improves~~Skye

Well, I don’t mind it one little bit. But my baby sister, Ellie, has to be on mama’s lap during the entire episode. Brother sleeps. But he’s getting older and grabs any chance available for multiple zzzz’s. Yours, Lulu Belle.

I’ve been through a lot and don’t mind them. Kaci and Kali have been here and the last couple of years have been calm. Who knows?

It’s the ear splitting crashes that mostly bother us.

We had a doozy last night. Elsa and Andy don’t seem to mind all the boomers and flashes, but I do . Mom got me one of those shirts that are supposed to help. It did help a little, but I still got anxious. It’s kinds late in the year for these type of storms. I hope they are done.

We had some more too but mostly rumbling not crashing. 🙂

They head for the hills- the grate of the a/c unit in the family room, the interior closet in the bedroom, a crate,or the space between the couch and the love seat are the hills.

They feel secure in closed corner too.

It poured as we were leaving Nashville this am. Mama sits up really straight and looks out front. She doesn’t like driving in it at all..,but we had no choice. I watch our rear perimeter ((Ainsley speak)). By the time we got to Phoenix ….I mean Knoxville, it had let up, so we screamed down I-40, and got home in good time. Thunder doesn’t bother me, but Mama and I look at each other when there is a really loud boom fest.

I hope you all had a good time. Our Mom almost refuses to drive in the rain.
