Storms began around 9 last night. We went to bed. This morning it was clear but wet.
Gauge reads almost 2 inches. Mom said: “Good, we needed it.”
When we went out for our am yard patrol, the moon hadn’t gone to bed yet. July full moon is called the Buck Moon because male deer begin to grow antlers at this time or it can be known as the Moon of Thunder as the Native Americans called it. Either way it looked pretty this morning.
Have a safe holiday weekend. Power to the Paw. ~ Indy and Lucy
2 inches! You can keep it. We don’t need rain here for the rest of the year, May and June were so wet.

Stop it you guys, don’t complain about the gift of rain! We need rain real BAD! We literally are dyin’–well, all of our grass and vegetation is dead! Help! 4 years of no rain and only heat all up and down the West Coast! Even WA, OR, and western Alaska!
Dear God, PLEASE give us some rain enough to stop the fires and allow the farmers to replant all of their dead acres of all the nuts and veggies and fruits we export all over the world!! Even with all of the water rationing we are losing the battle. It is the worst drought in 149 years, and the hottest years in history!

We have had rain and lots of thunder and lightning. We don’t have enough hiding places for all of the dogs.
