Mom has finished the porch swing.
On the other hand, nothing has deterred the cats from crapping in our flower beds. We have put orange oil, red pepper flakes, netting, ultrasonic devices, BB gun, and bamboo sticks. We did try trapping and caught three raccoons. What’s a Scottie to do? ~ Indy and Lucy

Monday afternoon we were just hangin with Mom when this happened.
It felt similar to being in a small car and getting passed by a semi except that the windows rattled. You know how it kind of moves you a bit.
We immediately jumped to the floor, looked around, and barked.
Although we are over 100 miles from the epicenter, we definitely felt the 4.5 tremor of the earth. All is well though. ~ Indy and Lucy

For those of you that don’t know, although I hail from the great state of Indiana via Shady Nook Scotties, I am really a Euro Scot. My mother is an American Scottie named Muirne and my Dad is a Russian fella by the name of Boris.
This is Dad’s bio. He is still a big time Casanova over at Shady Nook. He is a very handsome guy. You can see the family resemblance immediately.
See what I mean. ~ Lucy

Sister and I loathe that rabbit. He has a lot of nerve for a Bunny.
Here he is at the door of his garden apartment. He can keep dry, cool and safe behind the lattice of the porch. Yesterday when Mom looked to see if he was there, he bolted into the yard…. oops! It was another NBI (Near Bunny Incident) He barely made it to the fence. Now Mom and Dad do a sweep of the area before we can go down the steps. Mom said she didn’t want to take part in any blood bath.
He dines al fresco right outside my window. Yes, Dad got him some rabbit pellets to have with his clover and sunflower seeds. Well, this is how Sister and I feel about it.

We did get some rain earlier in the week but now it is just hot and humid. 110 heat index hot so not much is happening here.
Lucy is becoming a couch potato.
That’s ok, Sister, you nap while I keep watch.
Meanwhile Bunny has moved in under the porch. What Bunny in his right mind would want to live in a yard with two Scotties? More evidence in support of “Are Bunnies Really Dumb”?…. Mom says. ~ Indy

Forgot to mention that it looks slightly different on the IPhone, smartphone or IPad if those are your media devices.
FB will have it set to default and you may see posts or not. You know the ‘how did I miss that’ thing. You will need to change it to See First also. This is our friend Skyler’s public page.
Do the same with your personal pages and you won’t miss posts. It saves time too because you don’t have to search. 🙂 ~ Indy and Lucy

Most Facebook users dislike changes to their social media page. Sometimes the powers that be let you know it’s coming: : “If you have not changed to….., it will be automatic on July…” This change is so subtle that you may not have noticed it.
This is our friend Michele’s page. Don’t you love that picture of her on the sailboat? Anyway, the rectangular boxes on the right are undergoing a change. If you click on the Friends box you will see “Get Notifications”, you should check it if you want to see that person’s posts in your news feed. If you ever wondered why you don’t see a person’s posts, this is it. Beneath it are category ratings of who will see your post: close friends, acquaintances, or you can add another list. Mom has a list called Scottie Nation and everyone Scottie is on that one. You can also check more than one category for a person. Look at the box labeled Following. Here is what is new: choices are See First and Default. If you want to be sure to keep up with the latest info a friend posts, be sure to check see first.
This is ours: The Adventures of Indy and Lucy. It is public page therefore it operates a little different than a private page. First, you have to LIKE it. Then click on the Liked and you have the new info. Get Notifications and See First need to be checked if you want to see us and we hope you do.

Mom has this great shadowbox that she wants to display some of her Scottie pins. She doesn’t know if she wants to leave as is or paint the box. The inside material could be changed out too but the neutral background works well with all kinds of pins.
The box.
Assorted pins.
Temporary arrangement. What do you think? Anyone have a secret on how to mount the pins without hurting them? Help! ~ Indy and Lucy
