The temperatures have been in the triple digits this week and the humidity almost as high. We experienced a power outage yesterday which left 4800 homes without electricity for a couple of hours in our sweltering 101 degree heat. Mom hooked up the sprinkler and I had a grand time. Sister doesn’t care to get wet. Everything was going good until I had to be dried off; I don’t especially like the wrapped up in a towel drying off part. Keep being cool. ~ Indy

Thank goodness for sprinklers! You look adorable Indy! Too bad Lucy wouldn’t join you in the fun to cool off. Was she trying to avoid having a bad hair day?

Indy – It just may be part of the Sisterhood thingy because I do NOT like to get wet either. In any event, you captured my heart again with the wet hair look.
I need to go lie down now – feeling feint. XXOOOO Lulu Belle

It was hotter here but minus that infernal humidity. We have a pool for those emergencies. Once we had a guest for dinner and the power went out. No way to cook. We called a restaurant 12 miles away and asked if they had electricity. “What do you think, we’re in the stone age?” was the reply.

We didn’t want to call attention to the fact that a bird met an untimely end when it landed on the wrong place on the substation. 😦

Oh, Indy, you have the WET LOOK all wrapped up–(“in a towel”, teehee!) Your gorgeous brown eyes stand out so beautifully with your wet look! Sure looks like you had a grand time in the water! AttaBoy, Riley, you know how to have a good time!
Ask your sister if she’d like to wear a bathing cap and water wings and maybe she’ll go in the water that way! Maybe she wants a bathing suit too–maybe a bikini!!! You know what a Fashionista she is!! Please tell your Daddy “Happy Father’s Day” for us!! We hope you cater to him on his day, Indy and Lucy!
Love and kisses to you two Darlings,
Riley-Puppy and Tessie-Girl and Mum
