Installment Three
A little ways past the Shallows Resort is Frank E Murphy county park named after one of the early entrepreneurs of the Door County peninsula.
It is a lovely, crescent, sand beach fringed with trees. It’s probably a busy place during high season but virtually deserted when we stop by.
We like to sniff along the beach and wet our toes in the bay.
Sister felt a need to tidy up the place.
She is so helpful.
Whitefish Dunes State Park protects the fragile dune environment of eastern Door. We paid it a visit next.
You would not believe the size of the chipmunks.
We have on our Gentle Leaders here. It helps us to walk on lead better than a leash attached to our collar or harness. Brother is terrible about pulling. This eliminates it completely. Next on our travels was lunch at the Harbor Grille in Baileys Harbor so Mom could have some oysters. Harbor Grille has outdoor dining and a dog menu. 4 Paws up from us. Located on the Lake Michigan side rather than the bay side, it is cooler.
There are many piers for viewing the water, boats and birds of Door County. We have loved sharing another beautiful Door County day with you. Rally coming up tomorrow. ~ Indy and Lucy #doorcountyparks#baileysharbor#harborgrille#doorcounty

I must agree with the others! The scenery is beautiful, the pictures are awesome, but it’s Indy & Lucy that make it spectacular! They would make wonderful postcards from all your travels!
