Mom said that even though she doesn’t teach school anymore she still realizes the value of a weekend. Dad’s off to visit GrandPapa today and I am pleased to report he has two fence posts removed. I told you it would be a long time. Mom just shakes her head. Weather has cooled to the 90s which is mild in Oklahoma for August. On the downside, the microwave gave it up last night. Mom said it’s convenient but not necessary to be replaced immediately. Me? I maintain my constant vigil.
I tell you though. Fall is in the air. I feel it.

We feel the Fall coming as well here in Nebraska. Although it’s still very warm during the day – 90’s – the nights are down to 60, the days are a bit shorter,and some leaves are falling from the trees. We can’t wait for Fall!

Here in Kentucky, Indy, I smell fall in the air. Mama has put yard work aside (not a pretty picture) and turned her attention to crafts for a November something…..I continue to stand guard over the missing bricks in the patio where the chipmunk thinks I am unaware. Mama says your last picture today made her LOL LOL LOL and snort. She hasn’t snorted with a laugh in quite a while. (It’s not a becoming sound.)Yours ALWAYS, Lulu Belle

Fall is our favorite season.

We share the same horrible temperatures in Florida. We will be lucky to get the fall season. It sorts of skips to three days of winter and returns to spring. Mom hasn’t taught in many years, so weekends are pretty much all week long. Auntie Michele has gone back to teaching. The kids arrive next week. We will miss seeing Rocky during the week. Hope that your grandpa is feeling better.

Mom is getting weary of yard work so she is ready. Company…what a nice diversion. Mom said that she is really having a hard time getting interested in The Dream Lover. She thought she’d try Some Luck. Have you read that?

Indy, you made Mama giggle just now with your picture. She has been at a dog show here where she met Jill Mashburn and another lady, who gave her pointers on stripping and confirmation. Then she watched some Corgies, and walked around. The grooming area is her fav place to hang. She said there were more Scotties at the show then she had ever seen before, but none as adogable ( a made up Mama word) as me.

What ‘posts removed’? Where do you see that? Today when Mom was looking at some Google pictures of Door County she saw this tiny picture. When she enlarged to see, it was the two Sos sitting on a couch with Mr Bear. Bol.

Oh. Hahaha. Dad is putting up some new sections of fence and he has to remove the old posts. The ground is so hard that he can’t get them out even with a jackhammer. So he has to fill the hole with water and leave to loosen the soil. Two, so far. I thought you meant Facebook posts. BOL.

Yup, Fall’s in the air here in So, CA! It is 104 degrees at 4:00 pm, and we sniff the smell of smoke of the perennial fires of Fall, which now, due to the drought, occur all year round, not just in the Fall! Fire is the only orange we get here in the Fall! You folks who have seasons are so lucky!
We love the ever-vigilant Indy and his rolling on da floor ode to TDIF pictures!
