The hibiscus are flowering nicely. Great plant for Oklahoma summers. They always remind Mom of the islands.
The peace pole is new this year. Mom brought it back from Door County. See why we had to get a bigger car.
Our Wheaten Scottie arrived from Legends. Mom is deciding on permanent placement.
It is metal but on a wood base so protected area is important. The rain has finally stopped; the gauge showed 7 inches. Temps will be warming up next week. Officially, summer is here. Have a great weekend. ~ Indy and Lucy

Thanks. It’s a great addition. Thank you for telling me about that shop in Fish Creek. Now it is my favorite.

Mama did not know hibiscus came in yellow – she thought only pink. What a WONDERFUL surprise; plus yellow is her favorite color. Glad my brother will not get to the peace pole….he would think it a peeeeece pole. BOL, Lulu

You need a real wheaten for your house. We have double apricot hibiscus flowers in our side yard and would love to have a peace pole. The Code Enforcement people would probably find a reason to outlaw it.

You can take it in during the winter if you have room and then bring out in the spring.
