Clan Donald leads the Parade of Scots to the town of Bailey’s Harbor located a mile and a half away.
Bailey’s Harbor is a small village known for its natural areas, beautiful shorelines, historic lighthouses and welcoming community, all of which turn out to clap and cheer on the Scotties.

We are with our Dad. He’s a tall guy in a navy coat and a tan baseball hat. Indy has on his Blackwatch tartan kilt and I am wearing red Stewart.

Royal Stewart is the name of the tartan Lucy is wearing. There are other types of Stewart tartans although this particular red one is the best known from the royal House of Stewart. It is also the personal tartan of the Queen, Elizabeth II or as Mom calls her QE2. Scottish kilts almost always have tartan patterns.

Golly, Moses – Whadyaknow?! Love learning new things – Just wish I could remember them a week later. “QE2” – Pretty darn cute of your mom, Lucy. I like that and will pay it forward. As for your tartan, it may be one worn by QE2 but I venture to say it looks FAR MORE enchanting on you than on her! She’s a bit dowdy in recent years with coats and matching hats for….. good gracious…… everything. A short time back she came to our Derby in Louisville and guess what she was wearing??
